Vision & Mission
Our vision at Carbensate is to develop a safe, cost-effective, and scalable carbon sequestration solution that is also energy-efficient. We are committed to using an innovative approach and working diligently to provide all sustainable and scalable solutions for the rapidly growing sequestration demand by no later than 2030.
Self-perception of responsibility
As a company, we feel responsible for conducting our work in line with the interests of our society and the environment. We are committed to ensuring that our business practices are socially responsible, ethical, and sustainable. This includes protecting natural resources and treating our environment in a way that protects the climate and does not harm the health of people and nature.
We are aware that our work can have an impact on the environment and the community in which we operate. Therefore, we value transparency, open communication, and collaboration with local communities and interest groups to ensure that we consider their needs and concerns.

Our commitments according to the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
Carbensate is committed to contributing to the United Nations’ global sustainability goals. We have focused particularly on SDGs 13 (climate action) and 15 (life on land) and are working to integrate these goals into our business activities.
SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth

Our business model is designed to have a large impact in the area of CO₂ storage. Therefore, it is essential for Carbensate to generate healthy but also sustainable growth. However, we do not want to do this at the expense of our employees or the environment that provides this service. Valuing personal and team performance is a strong part of the Carbensate company philosophy. In this way, we promote sustainable and dignified job growth.
SDG 13: Climate Action

Our goal is to have a positive impact on climate change by creating a carbon sink (also known as carbon sequestration) and recovering CO2 from the atmosphere. Our long-term aim is to provide a portion of the scientifically formulated CO2 storage capacity by 2030 at the latest. We are aware that the demand for carbon sequestration is growing rapidly and will therefore expand our capacities accordingly to make a significant contribution to meeting the scientifically formulated goals.
SDG 15: Life on Land

We recognize the importance of ecosystems and biodiversity and are committed to responsibly managing our procurement process to reduce the burden on these systems. By choosing sustainable products and services, we can create win-win situations and contribute to the protection of life on land.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

We believe that both physical and mental health are important components of decent work. Therefore, we support the personal development of our employees through health training and the opportunity to participate in coaching. We are also committed to finding employees who have a personal purpose that aligns with our company and values, creating a win-win situation for all parties involved.

At Carbensate, we follow a philosophy that is oriented towards queer and intersectional feminism to promote gender equality. We advocate for the recognition of the diversity of identities and experiences and create an environment where all voices are heard. We consider the importance of language sensitivity and self-reflection regarding societal realities to create a fairer and more inclusive work environment.
